Puja Basak lived with her parents in a tenement building in North Kolkata. Puja’s mother put her through studies and she passed her 10th Grade. After her mother’s death in 2018 she lived there with her father.

When her father died at the beginning of 2021 the neighbours in the building made sure that Puja had food, but recently the landlord decided to rent out her room. With nowhere for Puja to go, the local people heard about shuktara and managed to get in touch with Pappu.

On the 28th February Pappu went to meet Puja and some of her neighbours came with her to see Lula Bari.
She didn’t go back with them and she is really happy as you can see from the photos.
