Pappu received a call from Childline on 28th September (2016) regarding an unknown boy with cerebral palsy found on the street in Tiljala. He was taken to the police station and then placed temporarily in a nursing home. Pappu found him tied to the bed and in nappies. Luckily he was able to arrange an immediate transfer and the "unknown boy" arrived at 10:00 that night in shuktara.
After arriving he slept well the first night. He can eat by himself with some help. He has CP, and although he is non-verbal he can hear.
As is usual he arrived without a name and someone asked what was the Indian word for good fortune. David came up with Subhash. So Subhash Kumar now has a name and will always have a home at shuktara.
