Steven Rose walking across Wales for shuktara

The annual Across Wales Walk (AWW) for charity "follows a linear route, starting and finishing at either end of some of the roughest, remotest yet loveliest countryside Wales has to offer." This year's walk is the event's 55th and takes place on 1st September.

Steven Rose has completed the AWW before but this is the first time he will attempt a triple crossing of 135 miles - and he has chosen to support shuktara with this endeavor! Steven says:

"I will attempt 135 miles of non-stop walking for Shuktara Trust (UK) because they achieve so much with so few resources."

Since visiting shuktara in 2016 Steven has been a solid supporter. This is what he blogged about shuktara:

"In more than 40 years of working with disabled people I have never been so impressed with the levels of dedication and commitment I witnessed. Shuktara manage to achieve so much with so little and are literally saving children's lives."

You may remember Steven's grandson Levi, our youngest fundraiser, doing a sponsored walk last year for shuktara. Seems like philanthrophy runs in the family - what a wonderful quality to share!

"Last year my six-year-old grandson climbed to six thousand feet on Mt Toubkul in Morocco and raised £4000 for shuktara. Having initiated and supported the fundraising efforts of others I feel that it is time to do something myself."

We want to thank Steven and wish him the best of luck on his AWW triple crossing!
