Tom Ingoldby running Brighton Marathon for shuktara

I'm running for a cause which is very close to my family's heart, Shuktara Trust (UK). Shuktara was set up by David Earp, a family friend, and provides homes for children and young people with disabilities in India.

Many of shuktara’s young people have suffered terrible hardship and discrimination. Because of their disabilities they were written off as incapable of learning, developing as individuals or integrating into society.

Subhash update

It was in September last year (2016) that Pappu Mishra received the call about a young man with cerebral palsy found on the street alone. Taken by the police to a nursing home, Pappu went and found him in a room tied to a bed and arranged for him to be transferred to shuktara immediately.

Life has changed for Subhash Kumar. He now has a name and home!

Setting up for Saraswati Puja

Preparations are happening for Saraswati Puja which will be held here on the roof of our boys home on Wednesday 1st February.

Sunil is helping Jogen by placing old saris around the swan that we have made. A flat marble slab on the swan is ready for the goddess to be placed on. Now we are just waiting for Saraswati!
